There are approximately 210 big cherry trees at Numata Park. The park becomes a pale pink colour in spring. 1,500 lanterns are lite up in time for blossoming, and Gotenzakura (Palace cherry tree), the symbol of the park, is illuminated to show its gorgeous appearance.
A lot of people come and visit the park as concerts, stage shows, cherry blossom events, and local specialties market are held on the main event day.
